  • Google Talk

Throughout the past week I’ve been able to call far and wide (throughout the continental U.S. of course) thanks to the wonderfully patriotic people at Google. Although I’m sure that they don’t feel they are actually doing America a favor by allowing Google Talk to be free throughout 2012 I have the strong opinion that Military members and Families easily make up 70% of its usage. With cell phones, Skype and apps such as Viber I know I never took the time to log on to a computer to call people through a headset. Fortunately for me in my time of patriotic solitude from society I can still call people from a legible phone number. I’ll ignore the fact that my number resembles that of a tele-marketer’s and continue to remain in bliss. For those who I would like to talk to who don’t live in the continental U.S. I hope you can figure out how to use Viber so I can call you. Fortunately for all of us there is always email and Facebook. In closing I would like anyone who works for Google to know I’ve declared the 2nd Sunday in April “Google Talk Day”. If this happens to conflict with Easter yearly I apologize in advance for any unnecessary conflict.

It’s 6AM in Afghanistan and I’m on my 3rd RipIt (military grade Redbull) of the “evening.”

Fury from the Sky. Go Pro. Stay 82nd.
